Blue Planet Energy Gives Away 576 CFLs at Buildex Chicago
(Chicago, June 17, 2010) Blue Planet Energy's Senior Management participated in Buildex Chicago, a new trade show launched by MMPI and held at the Merchandise Mart, June 14-16, 2010. Over the three-day period President, David Miller, and Vice President, Craig Schuttenberg, met with hundreds Buildex attendees that visited Blue Planet Energy's booth. Along with raffling off a home energy monitoring suite, Blue Planet gave away four gross (576) of 13-Watt CFLs to interested visitors. "It was very interesting to see that a number of people still aren't familiar with CFLs, and as a result, aren't using them in their homes." CFLs are the most cost effective energy efficiency measure. "Where can you get a return on investment approaching 10,000%," asked Mr. Schuttenberg. "We're doing our best through a variety of means to get people to use CFLs. We've been doing it for years and we are finding it almost as challenging as it was ten years ago. Fortunately, we remain undeterred." Along with providing electricity expense savings of over $25,000 for those who stopped by Blue Planet's booth, the environmental benefit of the CFLs given away is equal to that of 270 Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
